Why join the Chemistry Club?
The purpose of the Chemistry Club is to provide chemistry students and other interested persons with:
a positive and social atmosphere for discussion and increased awareness of chemistry;
an open forum for educational growth and development;
a place to discuss the applications of the chemical industry for the protection and preservation of our environment;
an alternative access to academic and tutoring assistance.
Annual Events
Every year, the Chemistry Club participates in the following activities:
Fundraising
o Making tie-dye T-shirts for Spring Fling
o Selling ACS study guides for general and organic chemistry students
Volunteering
o Visiting elementary schools to perform experiments to get kids excited about science!
Social events
o Movies, dinner, ice cream – you name it and we do it!
National ACS Meetings
o Each year, the chemistry club sends at least one student to a National ACS Meeting. This year, three of our club members went to Chicago over Spring Break!

Coordinated the spring fling event
Discussed volunteering opportunities at the northwest meeting -sent Jeff Peloquin email addresses of club members End of the year social night is after the spring fling
Also, Alina will coordinate a summer rafting trip (possibly), no staircases
Cassie brought up some good suggestions for end of year social events -softball or kickball games with students against faculty -BBQ Have a great summer everyone!
