Why join the Chemistry Club?

The purpose of the Chemistry Club is to provide chemistry students and other interested persons with:
-a positive and social atmosphere for discussion and increased awareness of chemistry;
-an open forum for educational growth and development;
-a place to discuss the applications of the chemical industry for the protection and preservation of our environment;
-an alternative access to academic and tutoring assistance.

Annual Events

Every year, the Chemistry Club participates in the following activities:
Fundraising
   -Making tie-dye T-shirts for Spring Fling
   -Selling ACS study guides for general and organic chemistry students
Volunteering
   -Visiting elementary schools to perform experiments to get kids excited about science!
   -Social events
   -Movies, dinner, ice cream – you name it and we do it!
   -National ACS Meetings
   -Each year the chemistry club sends at least one student to the National ACS Spring meeting. The next meeting will be held during Spring Break 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
