Barnes Awarded SURF Research Fellowship

Congrats to chemistry major Pete Barnes who was selected for a $5000 American Chemical Society summer undergraduate research fellowship (SURF). Only seven students nationwide are selected for this presitgious scholarship opportunity. Barnes works in the lab of Dr. Don Warner. From the April 25 edition of the Boise State Update newsletter: "The competitive fellowships are awarded based on a student’s research proposal, academic record, faculty recommendations and passion for laboratory science. The award will provide support for Barnes’ independent research at Boise State under Warner’s guidance, and also will allow him to travel to Pfizer next fall to present his summer research, tour the facilities and hear from Pfizer scientists." The entire posting (and Pete's smiling mug) can be viewed here.
