Title: Welding Systems for Wind Power Generating Structures

Abstract: AMET Inc. of Rexburg, ID has developed the world's most advanced weld control hardware and software systems which it integrates in turnkey systems for the aerospace, automotive, chemical, heavy industrial, manufacturing, medical, military, nuclear, oil and petrochemical industries.  Recently, AMET developed a very large scale automated submerged arc welding (SAW) and manipulator system for wind energy system manufacturers. This presentation will provide a unique perspective on the infrastructure requirements of wind power generating systems.
