Electron-Dot Formulas
These tutorials are designed to demonstrate the step-by-step process of drawing electron dot formulas. In the typical lecture, you end up with the final formula but you may not remember all of the individual steps that were done in drawing the formula. These tutorials allow you to repeat any step of the process until you understand each step.
You can return to any of the previous pages by using the "back" button on your browser. The answers to the questions found in the tutorial sections can be accessed by clicking on the button that follows each question...J.I suggest that you start with a review of chemical bonding and electron-dot formulas and then work through the following tutorials in the order shown.
1.
ammonia NH32.
ethene C2H43.
carbon dioxide CO24.
boron trifluoride BF35.
hydronium ion H3O+6.
bicarbonate ion HCO3-Return to Inorganic Chemistry Tutorials
