Although this name tells exactly which atoms and how many of each are in the compound it is incorrect because it does not follow the convention for naming groups. Chemists use group names so that there is no confusion as to how the atoms are arranged in the structure. Many combinations of atoms exist in different arrangements of the atoms called isomers.
