This answer is not correct. You were probably thinking correctly that the work should have a negative sign but where you went wrong was thinking that "q" was positive. You always look at the problem from the point of view of the system...not the surroundings. The system is losing heat to the surroundings so the sign for the heat "q" will be negative.
