This answer is not correct. The system is doing work on the surroundings so the work "w" must have a negative sign...you always look at the problem from the point of view of the system...not the surroundings. The system is also losing heat to the surroundings so the sign for the heat "q" will also be negative. The energy is the sum of q + w so the magnitude of your answer was correct.
