This answer is not correct. This is a reaction that will form an amide but it cannot form a lactam. Try working out the mechanism and you will see that the initial products are an alcohol and an amide. This product will not undergo a ring closure because the amide nitrogen atom is not a good nucleophile (due to resonance into the carbonyl group) and alcohols never act as a leaving group unless altered chemically.
