This answer is almost correct. You have missed the geometric arrangement of the methyl groups. Think of the groups on each carbon atom is up or down relative to the carbon atom to which they are attached. On one of the carbon atoms the hydrogen atom is up and on the other, the methyl group is up. Therefore they must be in a trans arrangement...not cis.
