This answer is not correct. This transition is actually a low energy transition because no bonding interaction is disrupted during the transition. It is a geometrically forbidden transition due to the fact that non-bonding electrons are at 90^o angles from the p^* antibonding orbitals so it is not as favorable as some other transitions...it will have a low absorbance.
