Idaho also is home to some of the most spectacular and deep canyons in the world.
The Bruneau Canyon is one of these canyons and is so deep that the ecosystem in the canyon is totally different than the high desert environment in which it resides.  It is as deep as the Grand Canyon but is only one half mile wide at the narrowest point.
