These are a few of the projects that I have done over the years...

This is a carved pond with ducks and a swan. The wood is walnut and the pond is a mirror cut to fit as an inlay. The ducks are solid and made from colored glass. The swan is filled with water and is a reverse barometer that can be used to predict changes in the weather. Its beak is open so the water level in its neck rises and falls with the atmospheric pressure.

This is supposed to be an eagle or perhaps a hawk...

A deer...

A mouse with blue glass eyes...

Dinosaurs...these are hollow with blue glass eyes.

A fish made of colored glass...they make a nice mobile.

A funny looking bug...

A bell...You can make the bell on the end of a small piece of glass tubing and then construct the clapper on a glass rod that is small enough to go through that tubing. Melt the tubing and rod together, pull off and put on a handle.

A pair of earrings...4 different colors were pulled out into fine rods and placed within colorless tubing. This all was fused together and twisted to make the swirls and finally formed into the shape shown.

I was working on a project once and a friend came by and asked what I was making. Like a drawing made by a child...sometimes only I know what my final project really is supposed to be. Well, I answered that it was a drunk duck. He thought that was funny so I made him a real drunk duck although the bottle looks a bit more like a milk bottle...at least his little beak is skewed and he looks funny.
